Computational Biologist, currently working with clients on bioinformatics, machine learning, and automated scientific workflows (Rising Talent, 100% Job Success Score on Upwork).Former Founding Engineer at BioCompute, an early-stage deep-tech startup building scalable DNA-based digital data storage. I led experimental design in DNA editing and developed bioinformatics, ML, and lab automation pipelines for encoding and decoding data in DNA, with a focus on enzymatic writing schemes and solid-state nanopore sequencing. This work contributed to a US patent filing where I am a named inventor.Before that, I worked on genetic engineering and cancer biology at the University of Texas at Austin, and have a background in materials science spanning polymer microneedles and transdermal drug delivery.I work at the intersection of biology, computation, and engineering, and am most at home in environments where the science and the infrastructure are being built simultaneously.
