About
As a Master’s student in Chemical Engineering at the prestigious Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, I am deeply passionate about transport phenomena and driven by a strong inclination toward research. My academic journey—from undergraduate to postgraduate studies—has equipped me with a solid foundation in core chemical engineering principles and fostered a curiosity to explore the frontiers of research in this field. I am particularly interested in leveraging computational and experimental approaches to analyze and optimize complex transport phenomena. My masters project revolves around Multiphase CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations, through which I aim to gain deeper insights into multiphase flow behavior and contribute to the advancement of simulation-based research in chemical engineering. I am seeking opportunities in research and development, where I can apply my analytical and computational skills, work on impactful projects, and continue to grow as a researcher in the field of chemical engineering.

Chemical Engineering
Critical Review of CFD Models for Solid–Liquid Mixing: A theoretical review of turbulence models, drag laws, interphase forces, and meshing practices in CFD studies of solid–liquid systems. Critically assessed the validity of the Schiller–Naumann drag model at high Reynolds numbers and solid loadings, and discussed potential extensions based on existing literature. Seminar: Process Systems Engineering in Chemical Engineering – study of dynamic process modeling, microkinetic reaction mechanisms, and advanced process control strategies including nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC)

Chemical Engineering
Completed a well-rounded program focused on core chemical engineering subjects including thermodynamics, fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, separation processes, and process control. Final Year Project: Designed a 1 TPA plant for producing Dimethyl Cyclopropanol, a high-value specialty chemical. Work involved route selection, material and energy balances, equipment design using MATLAB, site selection based on techno-economic criteria, and integration of green chemistry through solvent recovery and waste valorization. Seminar: Design of packed bed reactors for enzyme-catalyzed reactions, covering immobilization techniques, mass transfer, and CFD-based optimization. Electives: Green Chemistry, Sustainable Polymers, Spectroscopy of Organic Compounds, Corrosion Sciences.
