Frank Aiello

Frank Aiello serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Maximus, a leading strategic partner to governments across the globe that helps improve the delivery of public services amid complex technology, health, economic, environmental, and social challenges. In his role, Frank leads enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy and initiatives, driving innovation and digital resilience. With a focus on proactive security, he builds robust defenses to protect sensitive data and critical infrastructure. Frank’s leadership philosophy centers on empowering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and aligning security initiatives with organizational goals to deliver both safety and business value. Previously, Frank served as Executive Director and Chief Information Security Officer at the American Red Cross, where he oversaw and modernized information security systems, safeguarding the organization’s critical operations and data. His tenure included leading a major cybersecurity transformation, resulting in enhanced data protection and risk mitigation strategies. Prior to that, Frank was Vice President, Market Leader at Accretive Solutions, where he provided strategic oversight of the Washington, DC market. Frank also held a senior role at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he led teams in security governance, architecture, and regulatory compliance projects for major clients. Across these positions, Frank has developed a reputation for driving digital transformation, fostering collaboration, and implementing security measures that adapt to an ever-evolving threat landscape. Outside of his corporate responsibilities, Frank is dedicated to advancing thought leadership within the cybersecurity community. He has been recognized with the ISE® Northeast People’s Choice Award, reflecting his influence and contributions to the field. Frank is also deeply committed to mentorship, guiding the next generation of technology and security professionals. His interests extend to professional organizations that align with his passion for improving technology’s role in society. Frank holds a Master’s degree in Software Systems Engineering from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Penn State University. He combines his technical expertise with strategic business acumen to lead and inspire teams in creating secure, forward-looking technology environments.
