My interest in finance started with my car obsession, when my dad had me research three cars I liked and explain their pricing strategies at the age of 14. This challenge piqued my interest in how the market works, and how the market fluctuates. Now, as a finance major, I’m learning the skills needed to take that piqued interest to the next level. As a rising sophomore at the Kelley School of Business, I’m taking several finance related classes and participating in multiple clubs, such as the Private Equity Club, to deepen my knowledge and understanding of the finance world. Through also taking leadership roles in both Student Government and Club Tennis, I’ve been able to grow and develop my teamwork and communication skills, giving me the opportunity to become a better leader in many different scenarios. While I’m not on an excel spreadsheet or analyzing the ebbs and flows of the stock market on a given day, you can catch me on the basketball or tennis court working with teammates to achieve a common goal, or researching AutoTrader or CarGurus, analyzing how the automotive market changed from the day before, and predicting what will happen in the future. As I continue to grow in this field, I’m always eager and ready to meet and connect with professionals in the finance world to be able to better understand what my future could look like.
