• Planning for new power projects. • Select the new power plant locations. • Determine the new power projects technology. • Prepare the new Independent Power Projects (IPP) (RFP). • Managing the IPP tendering process and evaluate the offers submitted by bidders. • Finalize IPPs Agreements. • Follow up the implementation of the IPP’s. • Follow up execution of all Power Purchase agreements PPA’s with generation companies. • Follow up the commissioning of the new and old power plant and related tests (PT, RT, heart rate, inspection…etc.). • Prepare PPA for large industries. • Prepare contracts for consultation services. • Conduct the environmental studies related to power generation projects. • Conduct the economical studies and financial analysis. • Participate in insurance issues for power plants. • Follow up the Clean Development Mechanism CDM project. • Negotiate Emissions Reduction Purchase Agreement ERPA.
