Ahmad Rizal Yaman Ahmad Shafiee

As the Director of Human Resources at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), I lead the strategic HR and organizational development initiatives for the venue that was recognized by ICCA as one of the top 17 convention centers in the world. With over 28 years of hands-on experience in various areas of human capital management and talent development, I am passionate about aligning the goals and aspirations of every employee with the vision and mission of BCCK. I am responsible for overseeing the HR operations, including recruitment, payroll, staffing and mobility, employee relations, rewards and recognition, and ISO 9001 certification. I also chair the Halal Committee for the center, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of quality and service. In my previous roles, I have managed group-wide strategic HR for O2 Management Services and all HR operations for Proton Group, working with US-based multinational corporations, public listed companies, and major industry names in Malaysia, US, and Europe. I am a certified HR practitioner and hold a bachelor's degree in business administration and a diploma in human resources management. I am fluent in German, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
