• Led a multidisciplinary team to design and commercialize innovative semiconductor tools for dielectric deposition in the trailing edge market. • Collaborated with plasma processing experts to develop deposition chambers for handling corrosive chemistries with high precision. • Managed tool build in Singapore with risk tests in Bangalore and Santa Clara labs.

Manager and Principal Consultant

• Led a team of 10 mechanical engineers to independently design and develop high-performance multi-socket computer servers. • Led design for extreme thermal requirements (2 kW in a 2U air-cooled chassis and 1.5kW in a 1U direct liquid-cooled chassis) with redundancy. • Applied value engineering concepts to reduce BOM cost from engineering to production BOM by 10%. • Lead the product testing for safety compliance and certification (CE, UL, country-specific homologation) • Servers have been selected for the prestigious National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) by the Government of India. • Proud to take some credit for the major scientific discovery of gravitational waves by the scientists at LIGO using the SURFsara Atos-Bull HPC. Architect (Mechanical design)

• Designed all parts and assemblies of a first-to-market compact ultrasound medical device named VISIQ, including double shot molded plastic enclosure, sheet metal chassis for PCB mounting, telescoping cart for height adjustment, cast aluminum base with medical-grade castor wheels. • Conducted FAI and initiated joint cost and quality improvement efforts with global vendors. • Well versed with design considerations for medical devices per IEC60601-1 and FDA documentation control requirements • Won the prestigious iF design and IDEA 2014 Silver awards for the VISIQ system.

Technical Manager

• Led a team of 16 engineers, both FTE and contract employees. • Projects included designing a vacuum chamber for Epitaxial deposition, sheet metal enclosures and cabinets, piping and safety systems, chassis design under highly restricted space to hold controllers and communicators, thermal considerations, component selection and design and so on. • Conceptualized and deployed a set-up for conducting an accelerated reliability test for a rotating and reciprocating motorized lift in vacuum in production. • I also mentored and guided a team of engineers towards meeting the design goals and delivery objectives of the epitaxial deposition tool (1st step in silicon wafer processing).

Lead Mechanical Engineer

* Designed from scratch high-end electronic and electrical products fit for the market consumption starting from initial stages. As the sole mechanical engineer in the company all aspects of electronic packaging was my responsibility. * Tools used are Solidworks and Pro-E for modeling and ANSYS for FEA. * Highlight: Conceptualized and designed a new bar-code scanner plus dimensioner: Challenge was to cool 3 on-board computers, two power supplies, one camera and full array of LEDs, enclosed in an aluminum sheet metal chassis exposed to heat and dust. * Good understanding of RFID, digital camera systems and thermo-electric cooling.

• Designed large generator components like rotor and stator windings, support systems, dynamic analysis. • Delivered complete solutions for new product introduction (NPI / NTI), and problems like field issues, test correlation and computer simulations. • Strategize and prepare project plan, schedules of deliverables and deadlines. Manage the project resources required internally, based on funding and schedules. Also responsible for head count updates in the group. • Synergize with the engineering teams at GE-Energy at Schenectady (NY) to understand and solve design problems. • Mentored engineers fresh into the group to details of generator design considerations. • Awarded best design, "Best in Class" and "Most innovative approach and solution" project across GE Energy
