Pianist for a classical chamber music trio. Regular rehearsals and public and private performances. I also accompany vocalists and instrumentalists for exams and performances.

* Oversaw the editorial and graphic content for this sports magazine with 6K subscribers across the globe. * Wrote articles, created illustrations, and worked on layout and design for the monthly publication. * Collaborated with writers and photographers to publish a range of articles from industry events to player profiles and tournaments.

In collaboration with Hoy Chicago, I reported on the Hispanic community in Champaign-Urbana. My beat covered topics from federal immigration policies to demographic shifts and community/cultural change. The bulk of reporting and interviews were in Spanish.

I covered events of local and national impact that were published online and/or aired on the radio.

* Editing copy * from news to features and web * in Adobe InCopy according to AP. Fact checking, collaboration with reporters and copy desk staff. Emphasis on accuracy and speed.

I helped students both improve their papers and develop into better writers. I worked with students from all departments and assisted them with writing at all levels, from brainstorming and structuring to self-critique and polishing. Using an online system, students scheduled appointments for either 30 or 60 minutes. The Center is the most frequented tutoring service on campus, and our returning visitors allowed us to witness just how dramatically they progressed.

I collaborated with other editors on what prose was eligible for our semi-annual publication and made necessary suggestions to writers.

* Contracted to adapt technical manuals from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program division to support officials with supervising medical facilities according to state and federal regulations. * Maintained an online resource database by supplementing content using internal web applications and HTML content editors. * Collaborated with medical professionals to ensure the accountability of thousands of medical facilities.

Freelancing with Smile Politely, an independent online magazine. My stories were on alternative diets and health lifestyles.

I taught students of all ages and levels classical piano, keyboard theory and basic music history. I coached students to gain performance experience and practice proper performance etiquette at recitals and seminars.

I researched, spoke with locals, and archived historical artifacts. Wrote an article for a local newspaper, the Lakeshore Weekly.

This was a work-study job that consisted of project support and office duties.

I tutored English (writing, vocabulary and grammar, and literature), study skills, and critical analysis skills. I reported back to parents and company about each week's lessons and progress or challenges.

Edited papers/proposals and searched for scholarship funding. Helped arrange events by calling government and corporate representatives.

I write and edit blog posts for a major health insurance provider in the Midwest. I research healthcare topics and interview clinical healthcare professionals to write blog posts targeted at informing individuals and families about healthcare resources through their care teams, communities, and insurance providers. (Note this is a contract/freelance role.)

As senior communications specialist, I create and promote content to raise awareness of the Technological Leadership Institute's (TLI) degree programs and faculty and student body. My duties include administering the company's Drupal-based website, writing press releases and blog posts, drafting and designing newsletters, managing its social media channels, and collaborating with faculty and staff to promote the TLI brand and academic programs.
