About
I am currently completing my final year in the MScPl in Urban Planning program at the University of Toronto. I also have seven years experience working in the non-profit sector in various capacities, including research, administration, client services, and stakeholder engagement, with five of those years spent in social housing. I have a passion for community led and social policy planning, and my current research project looks at planning being done at the grassroots level by community organisers in collaboration with marginalised and underserved communities of colour across the GTA. As part of my program I have interned at the City of Toronto as a researcher, where I helped create a community engagement toolkit for EarlyON centres with the goal of it being used across the GTA. My main career goal is to move into policy planning where I work with women of colour, BIPOC, and LGBTQ communities in Toronto, to craft urban social policy that addresses systemic challenges experienced by them.
