Adura Mizan

Heads the section responsible for managing and processing the approvals for all corporate applications made to the Registrar of Companies and the Minister in charge of companies pursuant to the Companies Act 2016 and other relevant laws under SSM's purview. Activities assigned to this section include providing recommendation to the Registrar of Companies and Minister prior to incorporation of companies limited by guarantees and all other approvals related to activities conducted by such companies as stipulated by law. Processing and approval of applications for extension of time, relief, waiver and other exemptions in relation to preparation of Directors' Reports and Financial Statements as required by the Companies Act 2016. Processing of applications related to Trust Companies Act. Inter-regulators liaison for policy issues concerning non-profit organisations and AML/TF. Policy and process improvement. Management of sectional KPIs, budgeting, administration process. Project management liaison and subject matter expert (user role) for system and solutions development relating to end-to-end processes under the laws administered by SSM.

Legal services management, legal advisory roles and provision of opinions on laws and regulations under CCM's supervision including other laws supervised by other regulators, legal advisory roles on contractual issues, provision of legal research, contract drafting and contract negotiation. Management of KPIs, budgets, administration matters, special project. Litigation management and recommendation.

Legal services support, ICT contract drafting and corporate secretarial for ASEAN group, liaison with Europe HQ for contract policy approvals.

Company secretarial - submission of documents to regulators (CCM, Bursa Malaysia, SC), circular to shareholders, regulatory compliance activities, minutes taking for Board Committees Meetings, preparation of meeting materials for Board Commitees Meetings, legal research, liaison with other group of companies, department representative for AML and risk issues.

Civil and commercial litigation – Shareholders’ dispute, contractual dispute, foreclosure and debt recovery.

Perusal and vetting of documents for corporate exercises, due diligence activities, attended meeting with clients and regulators, perusal and drafting of court papers, conducted mitigation for Legal Aid cases.

Semester break activities - Assigned to different sections within the banking hall of several branches for exposure to operational activities..

Semester break activities - studied customer service performance and new banking technologies introduced in the market.
