My role in BRS was as an Offline which sometimes consisted of being a Quality control monitor, and some others as a production supervisor, where I reported the hours worked compared to the polls that were done, also helping the Online personal with any inconvenience they had.

I developed the role of an Internal Process Quality Control IPQC, where I ensured that manufacturing produced according to the pre established work instructions developed during the process failure mode an effect analysis PFMEA, ensure that materials used in the assemblies correspond to the bill of materials, directly in touch with our customer in order to maintain every critical to quality alerted throughout the facility. As part of a Lean Manufacturing project I am also a QRQC Champion with the implementation and follow up of QRQC ideology.

Due to the experience acquired and the various continuous improvement projects developed some of the engineers from the facilities I visited requested some follow up with the projects they had on their yearly objectives, as well as suppliers requested some consulting when the creative process initiated. While working as an independent consulter I had the opportunity to travel throughout the Mexican republic specifically to Leon Guanajuato, where a design shop was newly starting to develop structural design with corrugated board, requesting me to instruct their designers in a quick two day seminar where they learned the basics of corrugated and the design steps when it comes to initiating the structural design process.

I started as the developing team of Order Entry Clerk (OE) in Ciudad Juarez, the project was launched and it is steady as the first Mexican Team to have the responsibility and opening new opportunities in Juarez. In October 2009 I was promoted to the Continuous improvement department focused on a standard pack project which creating saving the project was still moving forward, on a projection of saving throughout the complete pipeline. In February 2011 I was promoted to Packaging department as a Packaging Engineer creating multi level projects that could create savings. February 2012 I was re-positioned as a PPAP analyst to validate a new packaging supplier, as a one stop solution of all the packaging needs, where I developed a strategy to receive, analyze and approve each of the 300 new part numbers.

The role developed was a packaging engineer, in charge of the design area, creating samples for the sales representatives, creating drawings from physical samples for purchasing to quote and purchase. Additionally I had the task of approving every print plate from suppliers, artworks and structural drawings, as well as validating the pilot runs based on AQL to assure that the design is functional and ready for the customer. Part of the field responsibility was to visit customers and work hand to hand with suppliers to provide packaging solutions, help them develop the less expensive concept for their needs, as well as design the easiest manufacture able concepts creating them savings and bringing business back. Some major key accounts as well as local vendors and suppliers.

Currently I develop the role of Packaging engineer, in charge of creating a packaging assessment methodology to identify savings, where savings were possible, and to facilitate the ease of production through any redesign of actual packaging items thought the methodology of DMAIC. In addition I coordinate the ease of communication between corporate office and the manufacturing facility.
