Berkeley Scholars to Cal (BSC) is eight-year comprehensive academic and social support program for Black and Latinx youth from the local community. BSC matches U.C. student mentors with youth in year-long relationships to foster the development of our Scholars. The Director oversees program planning and operations, such as After-School tutoring, community engagement, home visits, college tours, and one-on-one meetings.

* The National Writing Project (NWP) focuses the knowledge, expertise, and leadership of our nation's educators on sustained efforts to improve writing and learning for all learners. NWP Headquarters. * Respond to requests for desktop, laptop, and printer hardware and software technical support * Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software * Assist with maintenance and software updates, virus, and spyware protection * Maintain inventory database for computers, office equipment, and software * Monitor VMware host server statuses and perform maintenance operations * Provide users with on-domain support and consulting * Assist IS staff with other tasks as needed

* Berkeley-Haas' Technology Solutions Department. Computer labs are equipped with high-end PC computers, advanced multimedia equipment, laser printers, an 802.11g/n wireless network, and other computing amenities. The labs are staffed by Haas Enterprise Computing and Service Management (ECSM) professionals prepared to support and resolve a broad range of technology issues. * Provided computer troubleshooting and information to an average of 25 customers per day * Troubleshooting a network of industrial printers, desktop computers, copiers, scanners and faxing machines * Communicated with team of 12 coworkers to solve particularly difficult troubleshooting issues * Attended 6 formal trainings to keep consultants informed about new lab software and technology updates

* This program matches U.C. students with children from the local community in year-long relationships. Volunteers serve as positive role models, friends, and advocates, and often become part of the child’s extended family. * Mentoring and tutoring a group of 25 students in an eight-year comprehensive academic and social support program * Fostering inter-personal relationships with mentees by taking them on outings * Conducting home visits and meetings with mentee’s parents to nurture academic and mental development of mentee * Tracking academic progress with PowerSchool reports to assist in the transition from middle school to high school * Implemented an Alumni donor data base to raise funds for program using Salesforce software and cold calling * Communicating with teachers, school administrators, and program directors about issues affecting the program * Developing and teaching 3 lesson plans per week * Coordinating and delegating tasks to a team of 6 mentors
