I started Fitzrovia in 2017 because I believed Canada was building the wrong kind of housing.We had plenty of condos. What we didn’t have were rental homes designed for real life - for families, for people who want amenity-rich communities, for the long term. So we built them.Today Fitzrovia has nearly 12,500 homes acquired, completed or in development, and $11 billion in assets under management. But the number I care about more is how many residents feel like they actually belong somewhere.I’ve spent 20 years in real estate at Credit Suisse, Apollo in London, and Tricon Capital before founding Fitzrovia. That background gave me one useful obsession: how institutional capital can solve real problems at scale. Canada’s rental housing shortage is one of the most solvable crises we have, if we get policy and capital aligned. I spend a lot of time pushing on both.Outside of Fitzrovia, I care deeply about the country we’re building alongside the homes. I co-created Great to Gold to help fund Canadian Olympic athletes. I chair the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation and vice-chair the Toronto Public Library Foundation.
