Lead the EIB’s environmental policy, providing EIB input to policy formulation by EC DG Environment, lead EIB/EC-DG Environmental cooperation; setting up a Bank wide environmental country-sheet tool to support the DD/monitoring process, prepare specific “country-approaches” (Ukraine & Moldova); Carry out ECS due diligence and monitoring of the projects assigned to - over 65 projects (e.g. all EU MS, Western Balkans, Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Latin America, Africa, etc.); Providing technical support to staff (ensuring compliance with ECS EU requirements and the Bank’s policies and standards, getting EC's approval under Art. 19 consultation process, handling complaints from civil society); Lead and revamp ECS Knowledge Sharing Programme (5 modules on: EU environmental legislation and its application outside of EU, E&S Standards, E&S EIB due-diligence/monitoring - direct investments/other type of operations); Setting-up and supporting implementation of “green-finance” loans in Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan: support the FIs to define green projects – taxonomy, including support to enhance transparency (ESG disclosure); Partnerships and outreach (environmental multilateral agreements - Espoo & Aarhus Conventions, UNECE Environment for Europe process and Environmental Committee, MDBs/IFIs E&S Standards/Access to information and stakeholders engagement WGs).

JASPERS - Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions Setting up an further on leading a team of 8 environmental experts: leading the recruitment process, job description, oversight and coordinate their activity to ensure a coherent approach between different offices, sectors covered and countries of operation; Leading EIB/EC-DG Environment & Climate and DG Regio cooperation on environmental compliance related aspects – from designing specific country approaches for those countries under infringement to negotiation with the MS a “way out/common understanding” to be used in case of Structural Funds; Acting sector coordinator for environment and climate (leading the cooperation/negotiation with MS and active participation in the Annual JASPERS/Stakeholders high-level meetings); Setting up and managing framework contract LOT 9 – Compliance with Environmental legislation; Lead/main author of the internal environmental and climate related procedures (Environmental Data Sheet - integral part of the Action Completion Note); Preparing horizontal EIA checklists and guidelines for major infrastructure projects in transport and environmental sectors, including the general EIA guideline for major projects to be used by the Managing Authorities in EU-MS; Leading (from design to full implementation) of a Knowledge Sharing Programme on SP on climate and environment; Partnership and outreach (representing JASPERS in EC EIA/SEA WG, EC ENEA WG, Espoo and Aarhus Conventions).
