Honored to lead the nearly 200-strong EKIN org at Nike. Previously, I led Nike’s Global Brand sustainability marketing efforts for 5 years. I built the brand and creative strategy for Move To Zero, launching a new era at the world's largest footwear and apparel company. I concepted Move To Zero while leading the Category Innovation team with Global Brand Innovation, serving athletes through disruptive consumer experiences by concepting, visualizing and piloting new storytelling initiatives across product, physical and digital experiences. My Nike career began in a Digital Marketing, where I first oversaw the creative output of Nike's North America Digital department, covering all sport categories and digital publishing channels, including nike.com, social communities, and wholesale partner channels. Following that I led all digital marketing and content creation for Nike's unique NRG business and NikeLab digital channels. Before joining Nike, as a freelance creative director, I created editorial voices and strategy for global brands, including writing, photography, film, production, and directing. My professional career began as a magazine writer and editor. In my eight years as a journalist, specializing in narrative storytelling, environmental journalism, adventure travel, sportswriting and outdoor gear, I was lucky enough to work and write for some of my favorite publications, including Vanity Fair, where I led the production of the annual Green Issue for 4 years, and Men's Journal, where I was Environmental Editor. My writing can also be found in Saddle Mountain Post, WSJ Magazine, Outside, OnEarth, Grist, Earth Island Journal, GOOD, and others. Once, John Mayer wore a t-shirt i designed on stage with Dead & Company, so I have that going for me.
