I was one of the faces behind Prime Video’s robust telemetry platform, giving petabyte-scale realtime performance insight to customer service, engineering teams, and partners. I learned - and put to use - a broad range of skills in the architecting, provisioning, and maintenance of mission critical globalized, self-healing, high-TPS services. I made noteworthy contributions to nearly every layer of the global telemetry stack, from ingestion to database optimization to business logic to simple end-user presentation. I communicated interchangeably at the lowest and highest levels of service abstraction and business problem solving to deliver team goals and occasionally carved a path of my own with department-wide improvements.

I was one of the magicians behind the curtain of Amazon’s logistics infrastructure. I developed backend solutions to help power one of Amazon’s internal transportation compliance platforms - keeping all parties honest and ensuring our partners’ employees got treated fairly. I onboarded fast, joining the team just before go-live and fixing critical performance issues that kept the launch on track.

I worked on an internal startup that later productized as Simatic AX. In my time at Siemens, I spearheaded generational advancements in PLC Trace functionality: 1. Introduced a high throughput, low latency streaming API for off-device live monitoring. This API improved both latency and throughput by factors of ~100 or more, giving the previously-nonexistent ability for full resolution live trace result monitoring. 2. Architected a custom micro-compiler exposed via a custom Domain Specific Language that gave customers the ability to craft custom trace trigger conditions. Prior to this feature, triggers were limited to single statements.

Managed a fleet of mechanical and computing equipment (arcade games) in an adverse environment (clumsy toddlers) under high pressure (the music was loud). Undisputed District champion on Guitar Hero: Arcade.

The Sultan of Spin, Captain of Cardboard, General of Gyro, often imitated but never replicated, friendly neighborhood guerrilla marketer. #36 at the 2012 World Sign Spinning Championships, #1 in Tennessee 2 years in a row.
