As a packaging engineer at Gallo, I managed cross-functional packaging initiatives to improve bottling throughput which generated annual savings of $3.0MM. I led a $2.5MM capital project to maximize line operating strategy through the qualification of new components and equipment capability. I developed and validated tools to determine bottle and closure pressure requirements to make appropriate engineering recommendations. Additionally, I regularly collaborated with international contract manufacturers to produce high-quality innovative packaging formats.

As a research assistant for Dr. Gounder, I synthesized and characterized metal-exchanged zeolites with improved hydrothermal stability for high temperature hydrocarbon reactions. Then, I analyzed the results utilizing Python and adapted future synthesis batches to produce a comprehensive sample set of zeolites. Finally, I summarized and discussed laboratory findings in a technical report to forecast subsequent experimentation.

As an intern at Matrix Technologies, I was able to apply many of the concepts I have learned as a student to a variety of chemical engineering industries. This included surveying client facilities then drafting piping and instrumentation diagrams in AutoCAD using high drafting standards. I also generated a calculation design aid to determine proper insulation material and thickness for pipes and batching tanks. Finally, I was responsible for communicating with clients, vendors, and Matrix employees to purchase process instrumentation and equipment.
