* Hired part time (1 day a week help)—initially to pull and prep charts for same day appointments. * Easily adjusted to additional tasks: plugging immunizations into online database, check in/out patients, schedule appointments, and insurance verification and billing. * Placed in charge of reorganizing off site storage for old patient records—made location and retrieval of files more efficient. * Summer 2007 promoted to head of medical records.

* Receive, categorize and assign identifying codes to various samples when received from outside facilities * Reorganized methods for tracking send out testing and subsequent receipt of results * Perform PCRs, restriction enzyme digests, and ran gels to test patient DNA samples for known genetic point mutations * Organize and check purchase orders and invoices * Manage new patient referrals and coordinate consultations and subsequent muscle biopsies * Assist existing patients to obtain follow up appointments
