Adam Mackie

I am a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). I care for women in both the private and public sectors on the lower north shore and inner west of Sydney. I am passionate about women’s health and have dedicated myself to developing the skills and knowledge to provide the best, most up-to-date, evidence-based care for my patients. I am generous with my time and aim to listen and empower women to make the best choice for them based on their individual needs and values. I am highly skilled in caring for all types of pregnancies both high and low risk. I regularly lead the delivery ward and high-risk antenatal clinics at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, a major teaching hospital in Sydney, Australia. This experience means that I have the skills and ability to calmly and effectively deal with all obstetric problems. The greatest privilege in my role as an obstetrician is being at the birth of a healthy baby. I take a holistic approach to women’s health. I am a skilled gynaecologist and can offer medical and surgical management for a large range of gynaecological issues. I have an interest in teaching and research. I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and a clinical tutor and mentor to medical students and trainee specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology. I continue to publish research in the area of obstetrics, as well as participating in the peer review of my colleagues research.
