My name is Adam Heitland, and I love fixing computers. I have always been fascinated by machines and enjoyed figuring out what makes things tick. After learning about household appliances, electrical circuits and wiring, I turned my attention to computers. I assembled my first PC shortly after graduating high school, and have never looked back. I find satisfaction in tracking down the source of a problem and finding the right solution. I feed my passion for improvement of my skills by maintaining computers for friends and family, and I am now four years into my IT career. I seek out opportunities to learn and continue to develop my skills, and have a goal of finding a long-term position in network administration or security by 2020.

Working with TEKSystems provided a variety of opportunities, one prominent example being a 6 month contract for a Windows XP to Windows 7 migration at Truman Medical Center. This entailed working desktop support issues, as well as imaging and deploying new Lenovo SFF computers and migrating end-user data manually for each user.
