Responsibilities include testing new/emerging technologies prior to release or deployment within the company. Includes both software and hardware from various sources such as Apple, Adobe and others. Tested, and deployed, Extensis Font Reserve Server and Client to all Macintosh systems. Determined hardware and software standards for all Macintosh systems including peripherals. Performed purchasing of all desktop and laptop computers as well as remote sites. Also responsible for purchasing workstations, specialty hardware, software licenses, software (includes new media and new applications) and more. Developed, and maintained, relationships with vendors. Additional responsibilities include being the LANDesk Administrator (September, 2005 to present). LANDesk duties include creating hardware independent images for OSD, application/software deployment, package building for custom applications, and maintaining the core application server.
