North Queensland Sales Engineer

Manage and develop the portfolio of outdoor lighting products throughout North Queensland and working within the local wholesaling branch network to develop OSRAM Lamp Sales and at the time Rexel's own branded range of street lighting luminaires. The role was an opportunity to make a considerable improvement in my career and move away from my home state of South Australia. The challenge was the extensive travel as at one stage it encompassed Cairns to Gladstone, Mt Isa and Northern Territory, a geographical size approximately one third of Australia. Strategic sales planning with limited time frames was a critical skill learnt during this stage of my career. It was the first opportunity to learn the DOS version of AGi - a graphical version of software.
