I oversee the risk event process, including risk event assurance, deep-dives into risk events, risk event MI to the Sub-RCCs and main RCC. Manage the oversight and challenge of the Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) process. Perform risk assurance across the division on key processes to identify control weaknesses and improvements. Implementation of the Investment Firms Prudential Regime by delivering the wind-down plan, ICARA scenarios and Recovery planning. Ensuring risk appetite statements are correct and updated.

I oversee the incident process and I am responsible for notifying ManCo members of any high level risk events. I lead Risk and Control Self Assessments with the heads of department to assess the risks and controls within their areas. I undertake Risk Assurance reviews of business areas and processes across our offices in the UK. I am also involved in due diligence reviews of our custodian globally. I manage a Risk Analyst and I am responsible for their development and objectives. I am responsible for building and maintaining the CBAM risk register. I update the London office BCP plans by liaising with the business and have experience sending out the call cascade message. I also attend the Resilience forum. I prepare ICAAP Scenarios by liaising with the relevant senior stakeholders, preparing documentation and analysing historical data. I produce Conduct Risk and Operational Risk reporting for the Risk and Compliance Committee. I support the Head of Risk in other key areas such as Risk Appetite, Key Risk Indicators, Model Risk Management and updating Risk process documents

Historically I was responsible for the following actions: I undertake a full investigation of all errors and near misses logged by all business areas and I ensure the relevant clients have been compensated. I lead and attend tri-annual risk assessments with Heads of Department and lead tri-annual control assessments with key department members. I prepare and distribute monthly error reports and a monthly risk summary to the Board which is scrutinised by the audit committee and ex co members. I also provide other adhoc risk reports. I prepare ICAAP Scenarios by analysing key historical data and liaise with the relevant Heads of Department in order ensure that preventative controls are in place for each scenario. I designed the Operational Risk intranet page which I ensure it is up to date and I maintain the error database.

Previously i was responsible for the following actions. I liaised with a broad range of departments to compile and distribute monthly and quarterly client reporting. I prepared and distributed the monthly and quarterly reporting for my allocated clients and also annual reports when required. I managed and maintained transfer information data, daily, for clients in Excel and hard copy format. I attended the CCS/IBD weekly meetings, where I acted as a key liaison for our team. I aided in the implementation of the new Vermilion reporting system during the testing process.

Historically i was responsible for the following actions when I worked at Coutts: I was an Assistant Manager overseeing a team of three people. I was a principal contact for Private Bankers regarding Hedge Fund orders. I played a key role in the set up of a new Hedge Fund order system and was the main point of contact for various business units during the development process. I regularly presented to Private Bankers on the Hedge Fund ordering process. I was involved in the setting up of product strategies, logging all client’s orders and liaising with the Cayman Islands office. I was responsible for processing client’s Hedge Fund orders in a timely, accurate fashion.

Historically i was responsible for the following actions when I worked at RBS: I dealt with solicitors queries on client accounts ensuring accurate information was provided to key business partners and intermediaries I managed and set up client payments and standing orders. I was sent on secondment to the Isle of Man to help them set up and manage their data processing and controls in an efficient manner.

Historically i was responsible for the following actions when I worked at Natwest Bank: I processed CHAPS payments for clients in a timely fashion, ensuring cash movements were accurately completed. I answered client queries relating to account information, payments, administration and record keeping.
