• Gained hands-on experience in groundwater well monitoring and sampling using bailers and peristaltic pumps. Participated in surveying for groundwater well installation to ensure accurate placement. • Studied Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, enhancing understanding of environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance. • Collaborated with the Hazardous Materials team on destructive sampling for asbestos, Mold, mercury, PCBs, and lead; conducted asbestos air testing. • Performed building envelope inspections to assess conditions, identify issues, and recommend remediation strategies. • Attended presentations by industry professionals and team leads, increasing awareness of radon and other indoor environmental concerns. • Expanded knowledge of environmental science applications in site assessments, hazardous materials testing, and building system evaluations.

• Set up and deployed an environmental sampling sonde for unattended monitoring of a waterway and interpret the resulting data with EcoWatch software. • Analysed surface water samples from various depths and locations for pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity and electrical conductivity using HACH HQ40d multi meter. • Sampled water invertebrates using kick net and identified using field guide. • Conducted plant scavenger hunt and identified different plants using PlantNet and Plants of Alberta guidebook. Deployed Remote cameras to inspect the wildlife. • Analyzed soil samples from various depths and locations for pH and electrical conductivity. • Estimated the coverage of ground vegetation in the field using the frame quadrat method.

Executed timely and accurate production activities with use of batch record instructions & relevant SOPs. Supervised production team of 14 operators to consistently meet production deadlines ensuring safety parameters. Conducted training sessions for new employees to ensure seamless onboarding and familiarity with plant operations and safety protocols. Documented production metrics and reported any discrepancies or concerns to supervisors.

Actively participated in plant field and panel operation activities of para-benzoquinone production. Attended training sessions and seminars to stay current with industry trends and best practices. Issued work permits such as Line breaking permit, confined space permit, hot-work permit to operators. Handled equipment such as Agitated nutsche filter, Nauta dryer, Distillation column, etc.
