After 8 years in Public Practice working for other people, I felt no sense of purpose. I kept seeing problems that weren't being taken care of that I knew how to fix. Having studied tax, accounting, superannuation, business, economics, technology, psychology, neuroscience, quantum physics, human collective consciousness, etc, I devised a way to synergise everything I had learned to solve these problems. A drastic career change. Having spent a lengthy career in tax and financial services, I was finally given the opportunity to make an impact on Education in a way I had always wanted. I was also finally given an opportunity to use much more of my skillset and learn much more. As School Business Manager, I helped lead all the non-teaching staff. Finance, IT, HR, Marketing, Security, Maintenance, WHS, etc. I was responsible for several large-scale capital projects. I saved the school over $1.4m and got a 300KW Solar System installed at no cost, allowing for more funds to be channeled towards the Students. At Calibre I have been exposed to more complex financial and tax matters, involving transfer pricing, research & development, international business and corporate consolidation. I've had to look after my own portfolio of clients and excel in customer relationship management. Once again, my in-depth background knowledge into technology and computers has allowed me to troubleshoot and resolve various hardware and software issues without requiring the assistance of external IT support.

As an Auditor (Registered SMSF Auditor with ASIC) and Taxation Accountant, I look after a large client base of individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and Self Managed Superfunds (SMSFs), preparing activity statements, financial statements and tax returns, and advising on taxation matters. I am also responsible for auditing SMSFs, Trusts, NFPs, and large private companies. My keen interest in business tech. and innovation has led me to providing our team with ongoing IT support and maintenance, and am responsible for the configuration of our office network, hardware, software and setting up an electronic payment facility. I enjoy working independently and as part of our wonderful team, including in a leadership position, being responsible for supervising, managing and training junior staff.

Keenly interested in the latest technology, I used my extensive product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions, and proactively assisted them with any technical issues they were having with their devices. I frequently exceeded sales targets, achieving the highest sales figures for our store and on occasion, in the state. I also had a record of excellent customer service.
