I set out to fix what was broken, but landed here eventually.I joined Hoosier Tank as a manufacturing engineer and spent the first year learning every corner of the operation — the processes, the rejects, the scheduling chaos, the quality escapes. I got FANUC certified, wrote 20+ welding robot programs, started redesigning processes, improving layouts and upgrading machines to reduce scrap and rejects.Soon I got promoted to Engineering Manager — I led $1M+ in CapEx deployment, launched automotive programs requiring IATF compliance, and reduced customer reject rates by 90%. Then I was promoted to General Manager (ABUL) — full P&L ownership across a $25–30M standalone business unit, autonomous accountability to C-suite targets on EBITDA, labor, headcount, and inventory. Came in at a time when sales outlook was weak and organization needed a major restructuring - proposed and executed a plan that improved EBITDA by double digit points, while improving on efficiency, quality and on time delivery metrics.Along the way I kept building. An internal operations platform that cut planning time by 90% and improved on-time delivery by 8%. An AI-powered PO processing prototype. An AI CMMS analytics copilot. Not because it was my job. Because the gap was obvious and I couldn't leave it alone.I'm a Purdue Aeronautical Engineer by training, a General Manager by experience, and an operator-builder by instinct.
