Abhik Mallick
Scientific Researcher @ Maynooth University
About
I am an experienced professional in organic synthesis, analytical techniques (HPLC, NMR, IR, LCMS), nanomedicine, tissue engineering, and drug delivery. I am currently working on a joint collaboration between Axelyf and Maynooth University as a scientific researcher in developing polyethylene glycol alternatives for lipid nanoparticle-based mRNA delivery in cancer therapeutics. I have expertise in organic synthesis and its characterization using analytical techniques (HPLC, NMR, IR, LCMS) in a GMP-compliant manner; synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, including liposomes, lipid nanoparticles, extracellular vesicles, polymer nanoparticles, and graphene oxide nanomaterials; 3D bioprinting using mammalian and bacterial cells; design of organ-on-a-chip models using microfluidic techniques; mammalian and bacterial cell culture; molecular biology techniques; cell-based assays; high-resolution imaging techniques; data analysis; handling of various software; writing project proposals; and manuscript preparation. I am experienced in project planning and execution, problem-solving, technical communication, and cross-functional collaboration. I am passionate about translating fundamental science into innovative and cutting-edge technology.
