In 2019, I walked away after graduating as a silver medalist in Computer Science to pursue a dream "ByteCorp" The journey was far from easy. For the first 10 months, my team and I worked tirelessly on the product. We believed in the technology’s potential to change industries, but belief alone doesn’t pay the bills. COVID-19 hit us hard in 2020. Our initial funding dried up, and we were left with a difficult choice: close the company or pivot. We chose to fight. We shifted our focus to AI consultancy Helping businesses solve their problems while continuing to develop our core product. In April 2020, a connection from Silicon Valley reached out. After a two-hour call where we shared our vision and work, we secured a life-changing contract. It was a turning point that helped ByteCorp survive and thrive. Today, ByteCorp is a global AI solutions company with a team of over 100 professionals across six countries. We’ve helped businesses scale, innovate, and raise over $100 million using our expertise. Our mission has always been simple: To help companies turn their big ideas into smart, scalable AI solutions. What started as a dream is now a growing movement, and this is just the beginning. In 2020, I came across a report about a tragic accident. An oil tanker crash caused by driver fatigue killed 219 people. That incident stayed with me. It wasn’t just an isolated tragedy but a wake-up call. Over 1.35 million people lose their lives to road accidents every year And 98% of these accidents are preventable. As an AI professional, I knew we could do something about it. That’s how Autilent was born - a smart solution designed to detect risky driver behaviors like fatigue or distraction and help prevent accidents before they happen. Building Autilent wasn’t easy, but the mission was too important to give up. We started small but quickly gained recognition: - Placed 4th at the Alibaba Hackathon at LEAP 2023. - Selected as one of the top 5 startups at the OPEN SV Forum in San Francisco. - The first Pakistani startup to join KAUST’s Taqadam accelerator, securing $140,000 in funding. Today, Autilent operates in Saudi Arabia, the UK, and the USA, helping reduce road accidents and save lives. Our mission is simple: Use technology to make roads safer and prevent avoidable tragedies.
