GRC Training - Youth Grow Activity (YGA) @ Green Circle for Cybersecurity
About
I’m a PSUT graduate building a career towards IT/Security/GRC consulting. I enjoy both the technical side and the structured, documentation-heavy side organizations run on, turning security requirements into clear controls, ownership, and evidence-ready deliverables. I’m seeking internship/entry roles where I can support IT, cybersecurity, or GRC functions. My technical foundation includes computer networks, network security, ethical hacking/pentesting, wireless networks, and network programming, plus exposure to AI/ML concepts and development. I grow my technical skills through structured paths on TryHackMe, practicing hands-on labs in networking, systems security, and attack/defense fundamentals. I hold the COBIT 2019 Foundation Certificate, studied AWS Cloud Foundations to take the AWS Cloud Practitioner certificate, and I’m on my way to earning certifications such as COBIT 2019: Design & Implementation, IT Risk Fundamentals, IT Audit Fundamentals, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, and more.Across my education and training, I applied COBIT 2019, ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST CSF in semi-implementation work from requirements → controls → implementation tracking. I conducted risk assessments, built risk registers, mapped risks to controls, and supported ISMS artifacts.Key deliverables I've produced:• COBIT 2019 governance design: tailored a governance system using goals cascade/design factors, performed a process capability assessment, built current/target profiles with a NIST CSF roadmap, and mapped NIST SP 800-171 to NIST SP 800-53.• Baseline assessment of an enterprise governance document set (strategy, policies, procedures, frameworks, methodologies, guidelines, standards). • Risk assessment & risk register (assets/processes, threats/vulnerabilities, likelihood/impact, treatment tracking)• ISO 27001 ISMS support (SoA, control status, Annex A-aligned documentation)• Governance & accountability (RACI)• Policy/standard documentation: drafting and refining enforceable, security documentation (e.g., access control requirements such as MFA, least privilege, privileged logging, third-party access governance).

GRC Training - Youth Grow Activity (YGA)
Amman, Jordan
This intensive training provided strong exposure to key concepts and hands-on activities in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and enabled me to gain new skills and knowledge across different areas of the field, including: - Information security concepts and governance. - Overview of organizational structure and architecture. - Information security strategy development. - Development of information security policies, processes, and procedures. - Learning about several GRC tools, including ISO/IEC 27001 toolkits, CISO Assistant, and Aperitisoft. - Risk management, assessment, analysis, treatment, and mitigation fundamentals, including the ISO/IEC 27005 standard. - In-depth understanding of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard. - Data protection and privacy. - Business continuity and disaster recovery fundamentals. - Information security auditing and the ISO/IEC 19011 standard. The training concluded with a project focused on ISO/IEC 27001 implementation, which included the following requirements and deliverables: - Technical proposal, including company profile, scope of work, and high-level project plan. - Financial proposal, including detailed project costs. - Detailed project plan, including phases, activities, owners, timelines, and deliverables. - Policies and process documents. - Standards documentation. - Strategy document. - Risk register.

Cyber Bridge Program
Amman, Jordan
The program consisted of two stages. • Stage 1 (self-paced learning): Completed EC-Council’s Certified Cybersecurity Technician (C|CT) coursework to build security fundamentals. • Stage 2 (hands-on practice): Performed scoped penetration testing and light policy critique/analysis; in addition to reconnaissance, enumeration, exploitation attempts, and documenting every step to simulate real-world penetration testing report writing. Learned how to conduct privilege escalation, reverse shell, and brute force attack. Tools: Nmap, Nikto, Metasploit, WPScan.

SOC Trainee
Amman, Jordan
University-required training via SMT Academy — blended theoretical foundations with practical SOC analysis — completed a multi-course pathway spanning multiple security domains — strengthened fundamentals while practicing alert/log analysis, event correlation, and incident triage.
