The Research & Development Office (RDO) is an initiative through the Vision Realization Office 2030 (VRO) in the Ministry of Education. The RDO’s main objective is to lift-up the R&D ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. Some of the projects I worked on since I've joined the RDO include, and are not limited to, the followings: - Supported in establishing the Ministry of Education’s Research & Development Office as an entity within the Vision Realization Office 2030 - Managed the Infrastructure Fund Initiative to enhance the research capacity of 19 KSA public universities - Owned the end-to-end evaluation and coordination process with a 3rd party service provider, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, which served as the sole peer reviewer of the office’s grants and initiatives - Supported in the implementation of short courses on research ethics for 27 KSA public universities with over 175 participants across 4 cities - Led all coordination of events hosted by the Research & Development Office which consisted of high-level delegates including Vice-Ministers and Deans of universities within the Kingdom - Conducted multiple trainings for new joiners of the office on Research & Development providing them with a firm understanding of the office’s operations and initiatives - Assisted in the development of a Knowledge Transfer initiative between the Office and the SME Authority in the Kingdom resulting in the planned disbursement to empower SME’s within the Kingdom
