My responsibilities include the following: - A- Technical Evaluation Conducting technical evaluations for the following tenders: - 1- EAF refractory working bricks, ramming materials, & safety bricks 2- EAF & LF electrodes, & Delta roof 3- EAF, & LF raw materials such as Ferro alloys, Coke lump & Carbon injection. B- Follow Up 1- the consumption of all the above-mentioned materials for different suppliers and compare such consumption with EZDK optimum consumption, then send a claim for the supplier if there was any abnormal consumption for a specific material 2- EAF process regarding, energy consumption, Active power, fluxes consumption (Burnt lime, & Burnt dolomite), power on time, & Tap to Tap time 3- DRI quality regarding, the Metallization, Total Fe, carbon, then giving a decision of the optimum melting profile that EZDK should use based on DRI quality 4- Scrap pattern and the size of the scrap and exclude any closed vessel or any big sizes of the scrap which may cause EAF explosion, & electrode breakage respectively. 5- LF process, regarding soft, & hard stirring, alloying elements and their yield, super heat temperature, & final chemical analysis and compare such analysis with the desired analysis 6- Review all the parameters of LF carefully to avoid any clogging or stopper rod increase due to any abnormal thing happened during the treatment of the heat. C- Material balance calculations Provide material balance for the following: - 1- EAF slag quantity produced per heat and compare it with the actual quantity 2- EAF tapping yield & EAF slag analysis and compare them with actual results D- Editing 1-Edit EAF melting profile based on DRI quality 2-Edit work standard in case of applying a new project to increase the productivity in EZDK E- Data Analysis 1- Analyze the data of EAF crews, regarding , Tap to Tap time and put this analysis in charts then discuss the results with the crews to inform them with their evaluation 2- Analyze EAF, & LF different data such as Total Fe in EAF slag, SiO2 in EAF slag, Slag basicity, phosphors and sulfur in molten steel, scrap types etc. and put all the above motioned data in charts to reach to a conclusion regarding, EAF & LF process and take the right action. F- Preparing 1- Internal & external Audit preparation, regarding the work standard, ANS files, ISO certificates, Company policy, process risk, SWOT analysis,& emergency exit plan. EAF budget, & business plan 2- Trouble-shooting table in case of occurrence of a specific trouble, put the expected causes.
