Abdel Halim Elshiekh, Ph.D.

I'm a management consultant with a deep-rooted curiosity and a passion for solving complex problems. My journey began in neuroscience, where I earned a PhD from McGill University as a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) scholar, researching the cognitive mechanisms behind memory and attention—an experience that sharpened my analytical thinking and shaped how I approach problem-solving. Since transitioning into consulting at Oliver Wyman, I’ve led projects and advised clients across the public sector, healthcare, financial services, technology, communications, transportation, and aviation industries. I work closely with senior stakeholders to design and implement strategies that are not only innovative, but are also practical and sustainable. My experience spans the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East, bringing a global perspective to every engagement. With a BA in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University, a BSc in Biology from the University of Waterloo, and a PhD in Neuroscience from McGill University, I bring a structured, research-driven approach to solving problems. My work is grounded in critical thinking, curiosity, and a commitment to delivering thoughtful, actionable results.
