As an Independent Consultant specialising in social impact and human rights, I utilise my expertise in large-scale, artisanal and small-scale mining, gender-based violence and stakeholder engagement to drive positive change globally. Through strategic advisory work, programme design, and research, I work with policy makers, private sector, international and national organisations in critical areas such as artisanal mining, critical minerals and women's rights.

GBV Programme Lead for Global Upstream Operations - Engaged experts and colleagues to drive action and investment to tackle GBV across seven mining operations in four countries. - Launched a GBV impact framework through diverse engagement, achieving values-based and accountable leadership and awareness on GBV across 20,000 workers globally. - Empowered and built capacity across General Managers and local teams to develop GBV programmes tailored to local cultures and communities. - Led change management through structured engagement to deepen awareness, accountability, and cross-functional integration for GBV. - Introduced innovative approaches, including social facilitation to enhance leadership sensitivity, and a sector-first pilot on bystander intervention training. Global Manager for Social Impact Across Upstream Operations - Provided strategic advice on social and human rights risk management to DBG’s global upstream operations, exploration activities, contractor relations, and corporate strategy. - Advised on implementing the Anglo American Social Way risk and impact management system. - Offered expertise on community human rights, GBV, ASM, Indigenous Peoples, land rights, and social impacts in greenfield exploration. - Developed a global risk register for Group-wide social and human rights impacts assessment, ensuring proactive management. - Led the global Social Performance Peer Group, providing training on maximising value from research, monitoring and impact reporting, and social and human rights impact assessment. - Advised leadership on industry trends and best practices in sustainable development, aligning business delivery with progressive standards.

Programme lead artisanal and small scale mining (ASM) sector policy dialogues: • Designed, secured funding for and led a global programme of dialogue and research for the artisanal and small-scale mining sector • Worked with partners, cross-organisation teams and multiple external stakeholders (local, national and international). • Informed local and global policy processes using local evidence and research. • Responsible for strategy design, programme development and delivery, team and partner management. • Led a two-year in-country, multi-stakeholder dialogue programme in Ghana – an evolving process of research, engagement and consensus building. Included site visits, research briefings, workshops and post-event impact management and evaluation. • High levels of inclusion and participation informed a roadmap for development of the artisanal mining sector in country and improved perceptions and relationships between key stakeholders. • Established and supported a network of local leaders in-country to build capacity and confidence in driving forward next steps. • Tested solutions for sustainable development and fed lessons into adaptive programme design. • Shared impacts with donors and secured funding for a second dialogue process in Tanzania.
