Lead the Global Supply Planning & CMO Supply Execution function for Drug Product/Finished Goods; manage a team of 3 front line leaders and 20 overall reports that develop supply plans for the internal/external commercial manufacturing network (2 internal factories, 30 CMO’s) and coordinate with the external suppliers. Drive adherence to customer metrics including on time in full, financial metrics including inventory on hand and obsolescence (working capital) and process metrics including stability of plan and adherence to schedule.

Leading strategy development for planning & procurement of materials (direct & indirect) used in the clinical manufacturing process for a novel gene therapy under accelerated development timelines. Supporting ongoing clinical production while preparing for registrational batches and commercial launch. Driving reduction of supply risk and COGS while solidifying supply base through a series of initiatives.

As part of Inventory Optimization program, led workstream for network strategy, on multi-year global lean production system project focused on reducing end-to-end lead time for all pharma products across Roche global manufacturing network. Drove initiatives to analyze and optimize supply chain setup, manufacturing strategies and reduce waste throughout value chain, aimed at decreasing lead-times.

Led team of 12 professionals managing material planning (MRP), operational procurement and supporting data systems and reporting activities in the US Region. Supported clinical and commercial operations serving 4 major plants with $400M in annual spend, and $275M in managed Inventory. Chair of regional cross-functional governance team focused on performance of raw material receipt to release and source to order activities. Led installation of a cross functional governance focused on providing the right information to make decisions in a timely manner with the right people at the table as part of six sigma black belt project (E. Dolan, Lead) focused on improving performance in the end to end receipt to release of raw materials. Over the course of a 3 yr period on time performance moved from ~45% to >90%; interdependent teams are now above the functional silos and work seamlessly across the end to end process to ensure success for all.

Managed a team of 4 supply network planners that developed production plans for the US / APAC biologics manufacturing network for drug substance, drug product & finished goods (5 internal factories, 9 CMO’s producing 15 global commercial products and 25+ clinical / Investigational medicinal products). Served as meeting manager/process manager for the monthly Global Roche Biologics Supply Planning Committee (S&OP) governance forum facilitating agendas, compiling presentations and publishing minutes.

Supervised a staff of 13 non exempt material support personnel over 2 locations that supported plant/unit operations for high volume, high throughput, make to stock pharmaceutical product (Ortho Evra) overseeing pre-weigh, sub-stores, released materials, receiving and the planning and procurement processes.

Planned scheduled and coordinated all production activities. Managed the procurement process for GMP raw material communicating with suppliers to resolve supply issues, interruptions, and systematic quality problems. Served as liaison between primary plant and secondary packaging plant ensuring adequate supply of Work In Process (WIP) materials and released Finished Goods to meet customer needs.

Performed daily operational duties including the dispensing of WIPs and raw materials to the manufacturing process ensuring product quality through all operational steps. Responsible for the receipt, processing of dispositions, storage and record keeping of components, WIPs and finished goods used in manufacturing processes. Responsible for component sampling including initial testing and analysis. Revised and updated batch records, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
