Aaron Wainhouse

As the owner and Managing Director of Wainhouse Distribution, I lead our operations, strategy, and long-term growth. I got my start at 16 years old, working on the warehouse floor. From day one, I was hands-on—picking and packing, managing inventory, and learning the ropes from the ground up. That early experience gave me a broad understanding of the business and shaped the way I lead today. Over the years, I’ve worked across all areas of the company, gradually moving into more strategic roles. This progression—from warehouse to boardroom—has given me a rare perspective: I understand what it takes to get the job done at every level, and I know how each part of the business connects. Since stepping into the Managing Director role, I’ve led the company through a period of strong transformation and growth. I’ve expanded our product range to meet evolving market demands, and championed investments in logistics systems and technology to increase speed, accuracy, and efficiency. These improvements help us better support our growing network of suppliers, partners, and customers across New Zealand and beyond. What drives me is building something meaningful—with our team, our partners, and the industries we serve. I believe success is built on relationships: long-term, transparent, and mutually beneficial partnerships. Whether it’s a supplier we’ve worked with for 10 years or a new brand entering the market, my focus is always on trust and delivering value. I’m a hands-on leader who stays close to the action. I believe in leading by example, staying approachable, and creating an environment where people feel empowered to do their best work.
