Found materials and facilitated discussion for weekly 50 min. wellness group at Mariposa Wellness Center.

Substitute for grades k-12, regular/ED/LD classrooms.

Presented several enrichment programs for students grades 1-5, on Ohlone culture, Adaptation, and Ecology. Provided support at additional Program Events, (i.e. setup/breakdown, facilitating educational contact between snakes and children, etc.).

Helped supporters advocate for a stronger health care reform bill. Planned and executed public (up to 115 people), and organizational (for ten leaders), events. Recruited, managed, and trained volunteers for constituent contact & mobilizations.

* Taught Honors Chemistry. Developed lectures. Supplemented part-time schedule with substituting 3/4 time). Concurrently served as paid advisor to Math Club, Model United Nations Club, and Dance Team. Prior teaching experience with Winchester Public Schools (Jan. * Apr. '01 and Jan. * May '03).

Harvested & weighed dried plant materials from greenhouses. Input data using SAS. Attended informative weekly Dr. Bazaaz lab meetings.

Extracted whole cell protein from plant cells, using mortar & pestl with liquid nitrogen. Assayed by Western Blot for presence of target protein in extracts from Larrea Tridentata. Used spectroscopic assay to target logarithmic growth of two algal cell lines, inoculated media. Prepared pH buffers, solutions, & growth media, cleaned glassware and other lab equipment.

Lysed cells and extracted bacterial pDNA. Used large columns with peristaltic pumps for DNA purification after verification of plasmid size by Miniprep kits for SDS-PAGE diagnostic assay. Performed clean room sanitization and assisted with vaccine material production dispensing. Prepared Ab solutions, buffers, & media. Operated centrifuges, 20L growth Fermentor, & Autoclaves. Followed GMP-compliant SOPs, performed documentation of production process. Promoted from Lab Technician to Production Scientist after five months.

Prepared and delivered lectures and assessments for classes in six different sciences each day. Designed and supervised laboratory exercises for 70 Native American students. Actively participated in IEP meetings for ED/LD students.
