My background is in machining, purchasing, BOM management, 3D modeling, 2D drawings, inspection, product development, prototype development, requirements generation, and more. As an Engineer at Magdic Precision Tooling, I provided all 3D modeling, 2D Drawing, and CNC programming for all aspects of the company. In 2D drawings Unigraphics and AutoCAD were used to provide machine Setup sheets, Grinding overlays, and Tooling drawings for internal and customer use. Customers would send a sample part or part model of the final product, from here the part would be reverse engineered or given precise calculations to compensate for powder density and shrinkage. Tooling was then designed following customer specific specifications in 3D to then have 2D drawings made for the customer and shop. From here these models and drawings would be converted into CNC machine programs. G-Code and conversational programming was common and was made written by hand or using Unigraphics. Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, Jig Grinding, CNC Lathe/Mill programs would be created to build parts. Trouble shooting support was given throughout a build and customer relations were held throughout each order. Timelines were held and goals were met. Inspection of parts was also a prominent part of this position as reverse engineering required use of these tools and skills to measure them.
