LAYOUT ENGINEERING SPECIALIST • Schematic entry, Library management, PCB layout design o Power supply layout, linear, switching, and filtering designs o Low noise and thermal layout o Impedance matched and Differential routed traces o Create and maintain schematic and PBC library o Utilizing Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, and PADs programs • Perform design verification and validation activities o Use the ADIsimpower design tool to create DC-DC converter designs o Assembly of power systems o Test, debug and verify DC converter performance • Support customer requests o Work with internal and external customers o Use design tools to offer design solutions o Build, debug, test, and ship solutions to customers • Manage the ADIsimpower evaluation board manufacturing and distribution o Perform schematic entry and PCB design/layout o Coordinate PCB manufacturing o Author user guides (for example UG-842, UG-832) o Fulfill evaluation board requests o Ship to domestic and international customers • Conduct switching power supply layout reviews for internal and external customers. o Consult with product and system application engineers on power supply design layouts reviews for the following demo boards: FMCOMMS1, FMCOMMS2, FMCOMMS3, FMCOMMS4, FMCOMMS5, ADALM Pluto, ADALM1000, ADALM200, FMCDAQ2, FMCDAQ3, ADN8831, and more. o Review external customer power layouts • Manage the SAP inventory of power demo boards o Migrate the manufacturing and warehousing of the power boards from USA to a new manufacture in the Philippines o Verified all evaluation boards that were manufactured at a new vendor. • Quick-turn prototyping utilizing in house LPKF Board Mill o Schematic entry, and PCB design layout o 2-layer boards were cut in house. Multi-layer boards were sent out for fabrication o Assemble boards with designed components o Test boards using lab equipment such as bench supplies, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and electronic loads • Lab Manager

My responsibilities included quick turn prototyping of DC to DC switching power supplies. From Schematic entry, PCB layout, milling the board in house or send out for fabrication, assemble the board, test the board to the designer’s specs, and send the board to the customer. At National Semiconductor I was the lead PCB designer for the group, using Protell 99 for all schematic capture and PCB design. Also, was a skilled LPKF mill operator using the protomat M60. Other responsibilities include maintaining the Lab inventory and equipment, maintain relationships with component venders. Was in charge of shipping and receiving. coordinated the relocation of our Phoenix office and lab to Richardson, Texas, also coordinated the build out of the Richardson office and lab.
