About

I am an innovative, strategic, and highly efficient engineering project manager with 10+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams to successful completion of building and infrastructure projects. My goal is to drive client satisfaction and optimize revenue by guiding projects through efficient progression from design to implementation. Professionally, I specialize in leading electrical engineering and project functions in new construction and renovation projects across the healthcare, commercial, and civic building sectors. I have always valued the precision and functional articulation of beauty that is created through engineering. As a college student, I chose to study Electrical Engineering out of a desire to work on the leading edge of design. I later chose MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Consulting Engineering as a career path because I wanted to be a part of a team that helps build a better community. As my career has progressed, I have enjoyed the challenges of leading teams of engineers to create new and innovative spaces, including the major renovation of Neyland Stadium at the University of Tennessee (one of the largest stadiums in the US), as well as construction of hospitals and healthcare facilities across the nation. I am committed to see each project I manage achieve a successful, timely, and fiscally efficient outcome. The proudest moment in my career is construction of a new hospital, UFC HCA Lake Nona Medical Center. I served as the Senior Electrical Engineer and Project Manager for a team of multi discipline engineers. The project required an exceptionally short design schedule, and when construction started, the COVID pandemic began, which presented many unforeseen challenges. I worked with the owner, architects, and construction team to manage supply chain issues and develop design solutions. The project's final hurdle was Florida State Health Review. To ensure that the project remained on track to the finish line, I flew to the worksite weekly to support the construction team and walk the site with State health inspectors. The project opened on time, on budget, and provided additional healthcare resources to a community in the middle of a global health crisis. Additionally, I am an empathic and motivational team leader. I aspire to step into greater levels of responsibility as a senior project manager. I derive great joy from mentoring and developing the team at all levels, from interns to specialized engineers and aspiring leaders.
