Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer
Kara Market Intelligence was a quantitative finance technology company. I conceived AI/ML algorithms to detect and predict patterns in technical and fundamental security data. My primary algorithm leveraged an attention mechanism to embed time-series pricing and company financial metrics then compare the embeddings to current market data to detect re-occuring patterns. I used a few-shot learning method to detect any pattern from a single user defined example. Further, I leveraged genetic and reinforcement learning algorithms to learn which patterns have a high probability of occurring and the buy/sell actions to maximize trading profits for those patterns. I led a team of 6 engineers and established systems for task/schedule management, objectives and key results metrics and configuration management for deploying models in production. I left because I am more passionate about aerospace than I am about finance.
