Worked on porting the Oracle 11 database onto the Solaris x86-64 platform from the mainline build. Worked alongside the Oracle team and Sun engineers at the client location. The prime responsibilities were bug triaging, making changes to Makefiles, managing merges and running tests. Suggested client enhancements for Toshiba for their MFCs. The tasks were to suggest changes for improving the booting time for the MFC. Also did some IO profiling and file systems benchmarking using the IOZone tool. Worked as a SAN Multiprotocol maintenance engineer. Worked on storage domains, learnt about the Brocade switches, worked on their netBSD based operating system to fix the bugs reported by the Brocade engineers.
