Specialising in the delivery of high quality criminal investigation consultation, education and development. I have the ability to deliver comprehensive and informative consultations and teaching in both specialised investigation and general policing with highly effective communication skills.

Leading a team of 25 specialist detectives, I oversaw and investigated serious and complex cases including murder, manslaughter and serious serial offending. Directing information gathering, I drove the use of advanced analytical techniques to secure the identification and conviction of offenders. I provided clear leadership in highly charged and fast moving environments; ensuring evidential opportunities, intelligence and data were optimised and that all witnesses and suspects were identified. I ensured the effective guidance and professional development of my team alongside diplomatic yet robust intrusive supervision, securing integrity and exceptional service delivery. Developing motivated teams, I built morale and provide clarity of purpose in those challenging environments.

Supervising high risk registered sex offenders in the community, I set strategic direction and delivered robust public protection. I chaired Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangement (MAPPA) panels, assessing and managing critical risk and leading multi-agency strategies. Developing effective information sharing protocols, I contributed proactively to committees and working groups to secure a cohesive, joint agency, approach to public safety.

I served as an investigation advisor on a significant IT change management project which sought to replace multiple systems with a fully integrated service. As a subject matter expert, I worked with business analysts and project managers, assessing systems and providing advice and guidance.

I directed proactive and reactive investigations, ensuring delivery of effective investigations and forensic management. Developing operations, influencing successfully at senior levels, I mitigated emerging risk and threat and actively developed team expertise and performance.

Following an exacting assessment process, I was selected to serve as a criminal investigation advisor within this specialist unit. I also represented the UK government on a bilateral security programme, assessing, advising and mentoring the Libyan Police Service. In this high risk and threat environment, I worked with the head of Tripoli CID and the head of the Libyan National CID. Building trust and confidence, I advised on criminal investigation procedures and drove the development of a strategic approach to organised crime that was beginning to take hold. I also worked with civil servants and intelligence operatives, assessing the capacity to build a sustainable intelligence strategy.

I managed the criminal investigation department and directed specialist teams including: Crime Squad - I drove the analysis of crime trends to target serious and organised offenders. Leading operations, I secured the convictions of serious, high harm, offenders. Jigsaw Team - Overseeing the supervision of registered sex offenders in the community, I directed intelligence gathering, instigated covert operations and ensured rapid, effective responses.

I delivered the effective prioritisation of deadlines and objectives, leading challenging investigations and crime reduction initiatives. I guided on scene management, ensuring evidence was secured and that witnesses, suspects and forensic opportunities were identified. I managed exceptional incidents whilst remaining cognisant of the need to uphold ‘business as usual’ policing.

I managed the delivery of police response across a large London borough, ensuring the appropriate, often fast time, responses were consistently delivered. Exercising effective risk assessment and management skills, I successfully directed numerous highly charged and dynamic environments.

Leading the investigation of diverse offending, I directed strategies, prioritising workloads and ensuring the best use of resources. Leading specialist teams, I utilised data and open source information to develop complex, often live, threat analysis. I also managed a criminal justice unit, working with the court system and Crown Prosecution Service to deliver exceptional service.

Homicide Command - Responding to the need for rapid resolution of serious offending, I directed complex and challenging investigations, exercising a determined and tenacious approach to manage demanding workloads. I promoted the professional development of my teams to build expertise and performance, communicating clearly on clarity of purpose, desired outcome and mutual respect. Criminal Investigation Department - Managing serious investigations and leading crime reduction initiatives, I ensured best use of resources and developed strategies to enhance performance. I also lead dedicated Robbery and Burglary Squads, actively reducing offending through intelligence led detection, I developed analysis and responded to fast time information to secure positive outcomes.

Fraud Investigation Department - Investigating high value and complex fraud, I conducted enquiries into fraud and money laundering, securing convictions, cash seizures, restraint and confiscation. Frontline - Working in a response team, I provided fast reaction to critical incidents.
