Worth Investment Group is a permanent-capital holding company. We acquire profitable manufacturing and distribution businesses and hold them for the long term. Founded in 2009, we buy 100% of lower-middle-market companies, usually $5 to $75 million in size, most often from owners who are getting ready to retire and want to hand the business to someone who will look after what they built. We’ve made 14 acquisitions over the last 15 years, and we’ve never bought one through an investment banker’s auction. We find them directly and deal with the owner, and that discipline shows up in the price we pay. Our approach is downside-first. Our founder came up through credit, workouts, and turnarounds before he was ever a buyer, so we study how a business can break before we get excited about how it can grow. And because we aren’t running a fund clock, we never have to sell a good company just because a fund is winding down. Good businesses are left alone to compound.
