Universitatea OVIDIUS din Constanta

Ovidius University of Constanta (Universitatea Ovidius din Constanta) is a fully accredited public higher education institution, which was established in 1961 and transformed into a comprehensive university in 1990. With about 16000 students, of which more than 1100 international, and over 1100 academic and administrative staff, Ovidius University is the largest higher education institution in the region. The mission of the university is threefold, the main pillar being education, with over 90 bachelor's, more than 80 mater's and 7 doctoral degree programs. The second pillar is research and innovation, the university being a regional leader, with recognized teams of scholars in medical and life sciences, applied sciences and engineering, social sciences, as well as arts and humanities. The third pillar is engagement with the community, to address societal needs in the South-East of Romania and the Black Sea basin.
