The UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI) is the nation’s leading research institute dedicated to transforming the lives of people affected or at risk of dementia and associated neurodegenerative conditions - from Alzheimer’s to Parkinson’s, motor neuron disease to vascular dementia. Our vision is healthy brain ageing for all, and we are building a future where we will be able to: - Predict an individual’s risk of disease, before symptoms appear - Prevent the onset of neurodegenerative conditions - Personalise the care and treatments of every individual Across eight centres hosted at leading UK universities, over 1,000 interdisciplinary researchers work to discover what causes neurodegeneration, develop new tools, tests and treatments and ultimately deliver solutions to maintain health in an ageing society.
