U-NEXT CO., LTD. (U-NEXT) is the largest combined premium video-on-demand and mobile MVNO telecom service in Japan. With over 130,000 films & TV shows encompassing 13 different genres, U-NEXT (https://www.video.unext.jp/lp/en), together with its animation service Anime Houdai (animehodai.my.softbank.jp), currently sits 2nd in Japanese domestic market share for on-demand video distribution. U-NEXT was launched in 2007 as parent USEN Corporation's video distribution business GyaO NEXT, which was later rebranded and spun-off as an independent business. Just 7 years later, U-NEXT was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Mother's Market and in 2016, transitioned to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
