Raana Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd. (RSPL) is India's first and only private company focused on building crystal growth machines. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, we design, develop, and manufacture Czochralski crystal growth systems entirely in-house. Over the past decade, we have delivered multiple crystal growth systems to leading national institutions, including Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), DRDO, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) , Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Centre For Materials For Electronics Technology (MeitY C-MET), and CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (NPL). Our systems are used to grow crystals for solar, semiconductor, defence, and atomic energy applications. RSPL won the Defence India Startup Challenge and received the iDEX PM Award for indigenising laser crystals for defence applications. Our technology is powered by our proprietary and patented Automatic Diameter Control (ADC) algorithm, which delivers precise crystal diameter control, repeatable growth processes, and consistent ingot quality. Our work has been recognised through awards from ELCINA, iDEX, and Startup Maharathi. We also hold a technology transfer agreement with BARC, and our advisory board includes senior scientists with decades of experience in crystal growth and materials science. The company is led by founder and CEO Rajasekar Elavarasan, who has spent over a decade building RSPL's technical foundation from the ground up.
