R-ace GP

R-ace GP was founded in 2011 from the meeting of Thibaut de Mérindol and Cyril Comte, two motorsport engineers united by a shared vision and deep experience in Formula Renault. Their complementary expertise and passion laid the foundation for a team driven by performance and innovation. Originally based near La Rochelle, the team later relocated to Fontenay-le-Comte, in the heart of Vendée, to a state-of-the-art facility dedicated entirely to the automotive industry. From its first victory with Nyck de Vries in the NEC series (2012) to its successful collaboration with ART Grand Prix and the Renault Sport Trophy title with Andrea Pizzitola, R-ace GP has built a strong identity through milestone achievements. The team gained widespread recognition in 2017 and 2018 by securing both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships in Formula Renault Eurocup and NEC. As the years passed, new talents joined the team, the trophy cabinet continued to grow, and fresh challenges emerged with the evolution of motorsport. R-ace GP is more than just a racing team—it’s a collective of passionate individuals dedicated to the relentless pursuit of performance.
