El Talayote is a Mexican packing-house located in Celaya, Gto. El Talayote was formally created in February 2010 by five Mexican companies for the purpose of leveraging their capacities to reach new markets and deliver high quality, healthy fresh vegetables. Today, our shareholders produce vegetables in greenhouses spanning over 15 acres and in over 741 acres of open field; all of our shareholders are currently expanding their greenhouse capacity, and by June 2011 our shareholders will have over 44 acres in greenhouse. We know that one of the biggest problems of the Mexican field is the lack of continuity and commitment with their foreign customers; that’s why we want to create long term relationships with our clients. We plan to do this by not only ensuring the quality of our products, but also by providing support and excellent customer service to our clients.
