Gadang Holdings Berhad (Gadang), incorporated in Malaysia on 6th October 1993 (originally as Lai Sing Holdings Berhad), is a public listed company in the construction sector. Tan Sri Dato’ Kok Onn became the major shareholder in 1997, renamed it Gadang and the company was later transferred to Bursa Malaysia’s Main Board in 2007. Gadang is an investment holding company with subsidiaries in civil engineering & construction, property development, utilities and M&E services. In 2014, it expanded into hydro power, acquiring a 60% stake in PT Ikhwan Mega Power, operating a 9 MW concession in Sumatera Barat.
